Since 1985, Delta Western has proudly served Alaska, distributing over 200 million gallons of fuel throughout Southeast, Central, and Western Alaska. Through our commitment and expertise, Delta Western has become a leader in reliable services, quality products, and environmentally sound practices. 1980s
Alaska lubricant jobber Inlet Petroleum Company (IPC) was formed as a result of a similar Chevron divestiture.
1985
Delta Western, Inc. (DWI) was formed through the acquisition of former Chevron Petroleum terminal facilities in several of Alaska’s coastal communities, which formed the foundation for the company’s growth.
2000
Saltchuk acquires the DWI.
2005
Saltchuk acquires Inlet Petroleum Company (IPC).
2014
Delta Western, Inc. and Inlet Petroleum merge, forming the largest independent distributor of fuel and lubricants in Alaska, doing business as Delta Western Petroleum.
2018
2020
Inlet Petroleum rebrands to Inlet Energy to align with the vision and mission to drive a cleaner energy future while guiding customers through the changes of an evolving petroleum industry.
Addition of Ketchikan fuel terminal to expand services in SE Alaska
2021
After operating as a division of Delta Western, LLC, Inlet Energy becomes a standalone company. Both companies continue to work together to provide the best services to their customers and to Alaska.

From Girdwood to Willow, our fleet of tankers offer fuel deliveries directly to your site. We also offer fuel in barrels or other portable fuel containers.
+ Aviation Fuel
Delta Western Petroleum provides Jet A-50 and Aviation Gasoline (100LL) in bulk deliveries and have fuel-dispensing permits for local airports including Anchorage, Merrill Field, Birchwood, and Willow.
+ Marine Fuel
Delta Western Petroleum is Coast Guard-certified for marine deliveries and has more than 20 years of experience delivering fuel to ships and tugs. Conveniently located in the Port of Anchorage, we are highly responsive to your marine delivery needs.

Delta Western Petroleum is dedicated to providing fast, friendly, and reliable heating fuel deliveries to our commercial and residential customers throughout Alaska. We serve Dutch Harbor, Haines, Juneau, Sitka, Bethel, and Yakutat. Delta Western is equally dedicated to providing goods and services in an environmentally sound manner. All of our delivery drivers have the training, experience and knowledge to safely fulfill your heating fuel needs.

Delta Western offers convenient member-only cardlock fueling stations for commercial fleets.
+ Fuel Service Program
Delta Western's fueling operations serve our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our professional and courteous drivers are trained and licensed to meet local, state and federal regulations.
Fleet Fueling
We provide a fleet fueling service that allows the customer ultimate convenience while giving them control over costs associated with managing on-site fuel tanks. Our consistent and high quality, on-site fueling service provides detailed fuel reports and customized fueling information on an equipment-by-equipment basis and our centralized pricing and billing function will help you reduce administrative costs.
Fuel Tank Monitoring
We provide fuel tank monitors to ensure that your fuel supply never runs out. Internet tracking allows you to have 24 hour access to your fuel inventory levels. This service also allows our customer to purchase fuel at the lowest possible price while releasing the burden of placing fuel orders.
Fuel Equipment
We provide complete fuel dispensing and fuel storage systems for purchase and through equipment leasing programs.
