A route is never simply a line from one point to another. Our weather can change quickly, access may shift, and each location has its own logistical realities.

Because our teams live and work in the communities they serve, they understand the local roads, waterways, terminals, and neighborhoods. Many also volunteer their time and support local events, strengthening their connection to the places they call home. That perspective helps them anticipate challenges, adjust plans as conditions change, and prepare each delivery with care.

Safety at Delta Western depends on clear communication, ongoing training, and employees prepared to recognize and address risk.

The company’s SAVE program, Safety: Alaska’s Value Everyday, reinforces these practices throughout the company. Regular safety meetings help teams align on equipment, procedures, and potential hazards, while Stop Work Authority empowers employees to pause work when something does not look right.

In 2025, we recorded zero safety reportable incidents, a milestone that reflects the commitment of our team.

Delta Western’s history began in 1984 with a single fueling station in Dutch Harbor. Today, we deliver more than 200 million gallons each year across Western and Southeast Alaska. Through that growth, the responsibility behind every gallon remains the same: serving Alaska safely, reliably, and with an understanding of the communities that depend on us.
