More Than Fuel: Showing Up for Haines

Delta Western is rooted in the places we operate and the customers who are also our neighbors. We invest in the traditions and essential services that help keep each region strong.

As the fuel provider in Haines, we play a critical role in keeping daily life running smoothly. Through two of our community focus areas—Community Well-Being and Connection Culture—our team shows up in meaningful ways for the people of Haines.

Local leadership in action

Jen Cowart, site manager, volunteers with the local chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary, helping raise funds for scholarships for Haines High School graduates. 

“Our team members live and work right here in Haines, so we are deeply invested in its success,” said Jen Dowart, operations manager at Delta Western. “Seeing our employees step out and volunteer reinforces how committed Delta Western is to supporting our neighbors and putting our values into action. Their dedication is a wonderful reflection of who we are as a company.”

Back at the starting line 

For the third year in a row, Delta Western Haines was a proud sponsor of the Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay, an incredible 150-mile cycling event from Haines Junction, Yukon, to Haines, Alaska. This year, the event will take place on June 20 and will host some 1,200 cyclists from around the globe. 

This is one of the largest events in the area, so we’re honored to play a role in bringing people together and showcasing some of the most stunning views our state has to offer. Sponsoring this event is a natural fit for Delta Western, because we share that same drive to keep this region moving forward.
